Designed by Leffler Simes Architects and delivered by ADCO Constructions with Calardu MacGregor, the Harvey Norman Retail Development in Macgregor required a façade solution that balanced architectural rhythm with robust functionality.

On the west elevation, Louvreclad’s Caprice Series® Modular Fins became the defining feature. Finished in Interpon® D2525 Pearl White Gloss, the fins create a striking vertical rhythm, complemented by Dulux® Precious® Natural Pearl Matt fixing rails that introduce subtle tonal contrast. Their installation contributed to consistent quality and long-term performance in a demanding retail environment.

To complement the fins, Barossa Series® Aluminium Batten Screens were integrated into the awning design. Non-combustible and finished in the same Pearl White Gloss, these battens provide a clean, concealed-fix finish that blends seamlessly into the wider façade, offering both architectural expression and effective solar screening at the pedestrian level.

The façade was further enhanced with Bremer Series® Louvre Sunscreens and Varsity Series® Rollformed Louvres. The Bremer Series® delivers solar shading with a gloss finish that ties the palette together, while the Varsity Series®, finished in COLORBOND® Monument, introduces a sleek, contemporary edge to the South and East elevations. Beyond aesthetics, the Varsity louvres provide ventilation and rain defence, completing a cohesive building envelope that balances architectural clarity with durability, energy efficiency, and resilience.
