Balancing Privacy, Performance and Public Access
Designed by Architectus and delivered by Multiplex Constructions for Metro North Hospital and Health Service, the expansion of The Prince Charles Hospital included the construction of two interconnected multi-storey car park buildings to meet growing parking demand for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
Louvreclad’s Ellenborough Series® Chevron Louvres were specified to provide privacy screening and natural airflow to the façade. The aluminium chevron blades achieve zero vision while maintaining ventilation, making them well-suited for secure and functional areas such as car park perimeters. The louvres were applied to lift shafts, the bike store, and plant areas to provide visual privacy and airflow where required.
Finished in Dulux® Duratec® Zeus® Surfmist Satin, the aluminium louvres deliver a consistent, robust, low-maintenance design ensures long-term durability and complements the clean architectural lines of the new hospital car park facility. Finished in a powder-coated surface, the Ellenborough Series® contributes to a cohesive and contemporary façade aesthetic in this critical public infrastructure project.
