Window surrounds and modular sun blades look incredible with Caprice SeriesĀ®

On the back of a sound reputation for delivering high quality louvre and sun shading solutions for healthcare projects, John Holland commissioned Louvreclad to design, engineer, supply and install a wide range of louvres and screening solutions across this multi-million-dollar redevelopment of St Andrews Private Hospital. Louvreclad’s Caprice Series 464 modular sun blades were installed as window surrounds across all four elevations of the main Ward Tower building. Powder coated in Dulux Eternity Linen Pearl; the L shaped window surrounds create an architectural statement against the zinc grey facade.

“A fixed, three pass louvre system which provides 100% effective rain defence.”

Kensington SeriesĀ® weather louvres were selected and installed to provide the buildings HVAC system with good ventilation and Class A rain defence tested to AS 4740:2000. If you have plant equipment or electrical units which cannot be water damaged, selecting the right louvre that meets the rain defence requirements is crucial. The Kensington SeriesĀ® is a fixed, three pass louvre system which provides 100% effective rain defence and good air flow which makes it an ideal solution for hospitals and commercial projects where rain defence is of up-most importance. Where access areas also required ventilation, Louvreclad Neptune SeriesĀ® louvre doors were provided. Only 44mmin depth, Louvreclad’s Neptune SeriesĀ® louvres provide a slimline aesthetic and are commonly used on louvred doors and small grilles, where a louvre is required to provide ventilation, prevent rain ingress and ensure security.

Zero Vision Screens

Mirage Series MSS aluminium Swage bar screens were utilized as roof top plant screens and installed inverted to ensure zero vision screening.Ā The carpark screens were a bespoke design employing Louvreclad Custom Barossa SeriesĀ® with three different sized powder coated 3mm aluminium angles including, 100×50, 50×50 and 45x45mm.
Louvreclad are proud of the outcome achieved working alongside John Holland on this project. Another successful example of a Louvreclad turn-key commercial building solution.
