Woody Point Special School – Stage 1B delivers a new learning wing designed to respond to Queensland’s climate, providing effective solar control and enhancing the school’s external environment.

Louvreclad’s Caprice Series® Modular Fins, manufactured from architectural-grade aluminium and finished in a selection of durable Dulux® Duratec® powder coats, were installed on the west, north, and east-facing elevations of Level 1.

Designed for effective sun shading, the fins feature 45mm modular blades and can span up to 3.6 meters vertically depending on site-specific wind pressures.

Working closely with Bryant Building Contractors and Cobie Group, Louvreclad coordinated the installation to achieve precise alignment and a visually cohesive façade. This project demonstrates how considered design, quality materials, and expert collaboration create functional, enduring façades that support both the environment and the learning experience.
